Hi, this is Annette's (Blackberry Creek) daughter :) I loved how chatty your comments on my mom's site were, so I thought I would check out your site. I love it :) I feel like I know your whole family now that I've spent time browsing through it. I was especially touched by the conversation with your daughter about Lissy. I can remember coversations like that with my neices that seemed so insignificant at the time and I would do anything to have those days of youth and innocence back. I look forward to future reading! Take care!

Dear (Grandma :-) Shelley and Erik, I did a search and found your site. It's beautiful!! I love Butternut Grove Shelley! It was really nice to speak with you the other night. Did you get my e-mail? Verizon is being very strange lately and blocking perfectly legit servers. I'm off to explore more. Take care and lots of love, Susan XXX

Ok I see again you have caught the feeling that most of us have, but we never know how to write it 9or just don't bother). After Christmas is a different time, empty time like you said. But then there is the excitement of the new year and what lies ahead for us. It is a new start to the year and to what you may want to do for the coming year. I think being a Grandma becomes you so well Shelley. Dont spoil your grandbaby too much. Again great job Shelley. Lu ya (this much) (((((((((((((((((())))))))))))) Dianne :) p.s. I await the next entry. p.s.s. Thank you Erik for moving the camera :)

Just thought I would send a quick hello and how are you doing. I truly enjoyed watching the Christmas tree and then see the eating of the Christmas dinner. It was like I was apart of your dinner, as well as you being a part of ours, even though you could see what was going on here. Looking forward to the tree cam next year!

Dear Shelley and Erik, Many good wishes to you and your family for the coming year, may it be full of happiness and good health. I hope my Christmas gift has arrived, mementoes from my trip to London, if not it should be soon. Hope to hear from you soon. Love from across the pond, Janet

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas to all!I am awaiting the unwrapping party. I caught a bit of Erik unwrapping early this morning. Shelley, I didn't see you. Were you hiding???? I wanted to see you in your PJ's. Oh well maybe next year.I am still looking for my present under the tree? Well I best get back to things around here. So much to do before everyone~ all 13 of them~ get here. Turkey in the oven, and starting to smell yummmmmmmmmmy! I be watching off and on all day and evening. Later Luv ya!!!! Dianne :)

Just a quick note. I forgot to write this with my last entry. "I DON'T SEE ONE UNDER THE TREE WITH MY NAME ON IT YET!!!!!!" I hope you didn't forget me? I am sure you haven't, I bet you just haven't wrapped it yet, or maybe its so big you didn't want to take up all the space under the tree. That's it isn't it?...... you put it somewhere else so that there was room for everyone elses gifts. Ok I understand now. Ok I am good with that, and this way I can't peek at it either. LOL Later. Luv ya Dianne :)

Dianne Friday, 12/24/04, 12:15 PM

The gift under the tree seem to be growing. I have yet to catch sight of either of you at the tree when I have been checking. But will keep refreshing just in case. I am waiting for the big wave tonight at 11:00 to 11:10. Then I see you have given yourselves 5 mins. time to get ready for the 11:15 chat. I take it that will be a potty break, refreshment getter and a settle yourselves in for a chat. Hope I can make it to both, even if its only for a minute of two. All in all I am so enjoying this Butternut Grove Tree cam. Can't wait till its Turkey/table cam time tomorrow evening. Best wishes to you both~ Shelley & Erik and I hope your every wish comes true this holiday season for you and your families. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah. Dianne :)

Thanks for the e-mail on the countdown to Christmas and the Tree cam. I am sure going to try to be watching as much of it as I can. Making sure I am not neglecting my family and events here lol. Can't wait to see the Christmas Eve wave and the PJ shot on Christmas morning. Am looking forward to the Christmas chat as well. I hope I can make it to that, even if its for a short chat. The gift unwrapping, I am thinking there may not be much there to see, since it will be mostly fly wrapping paper, piles of wrapping paper and childern lost somewhere in it all lol.I may be able to sneak a few peeks at the dinner table or not. Thats the same time (5:00pm)we are hoping to be sitting down to eat. But then again the computer is in the corner of the dinning room so I could have it on the whole time and keep refreshing to see whats going on at your table. We could have Christmas dinner together lol. Anyway looking forward to the next couple days around the Butternut Grove Christmas Tree! Dianne :)

Erik-Shelley Love the web cam of the Christmas tree. My only thing is I can't see what you are watching on T.V. because of the sun shinning in. lol Well at least you have sun shinning there today. NO sun here very cloudy and a winter wonderland. Everything is covered. Loved Dec. Butternut Grove too, makes me think of our hometown. Wish we could meet there and go see the lights in the park. Would bring alot of childhood memories back I think! And it's been awhile since I have seen them. Dianne :)

Wonderful memories old and new - in the 40's halloween consisted of a sheet with holes going through the building with other similarly attired 'ghostly friends' and then ending up bobbing for apples. I guess we did not have much imagination but we had fun anyway. We did not have halloween dress-up at school and definitely no store bought costumes. It looks like you guys and the family really enjoyed your time in Canada! Beautiful colors on those trees:):) And our girls are just beautiful - aren't they!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):)

MMMMMMMM those apples look good - We ate all our Honey Crisp apples (w/cheese, in a pie, in an apple cheese cake) and now we are on Cameos - I will make an apple pecan cake and applesauce on Saturday with these apples - we have already had them w/cheese. An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Hello again, dear Shelley! I am glad that you stopped by and in turn made me want to check your journal out. You are so right, time does fly; almost summer vacation is over! I love reading your memories. We do not realize how much things touch us often until much later. I could picture you in that school.. a little girl, with big plans.. and so much hope and plans for the future, and so much happiness waiting to happen... My other newsletter is all about memories. You may have noticed it in the right hand corner of the first webpage. It is written in German. Wishing you a summer filled with smiles! Bridget
